About Funny Furnishings by Winnie Lam
Mission
Funny Furnishings' mission is to design furniture that makes people laugh. Simply put, we believe that the home should be a happy place. We hope to add laughter to your home through our fun, whimsical, and goofy furniture.
Our story
Winnie Lam is the founder and chief designer of Funny Furnishings. When she bought her first home a few years ago, she decided to decorate her home so it would have "Winnie" written all over it, instead of a space out of an Ikea catalog.
She set out to design her first furniture piece, the cheese storage cabinet. Before that first piece was even completed, ideas for new furniture designs filled up all the pages in her sketchbook.
That was the moment when she discovered that designing fun furniture is her passion, her indulgence, her true calling. She has always known that she could somehow take advantage of being a kid at heart and having a goofy personality!
Since then, she has designed a collection of furniture and accessories for the living room, dining room, bedroom, office, bathroom, and kitchen.
Her designs have been featured in numerous places, including msn.com, Ikea Hacker website, and BeJane.com home improvement website for women.
Funny Furnishings is based in the San Francisco bay area in California, USA.
